Message from the President, 2026–2027
Dear Members of NABIP New Mexico,
It is a profound honor to step into the role of your chapter President for the upcoming year. Before looking ahead, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our immediate past president, Agnes Gallegos. Over the last two years, Agnes has provided steadfast and incredible leadership, guiding our chapter with grace, determination and a clear vision. Her dedication has set a remarkable standard, and we owe her sincere appreciation for leaving our chapter in such a strong and vibrant position.
I am incredibly excited to lead NABIP New Mexico at this moment in our industry's history. Year after year, NABIP accomplishes more, solidifying its place as the leading voice on health insurance. Our advocacy, educational standards and community presence have never been more vital. As we navigate the evolving healthcare landscape, our chapter will continue to champion our industry, protect the consumer and ensure that our professionals have the tools and recognition they deserve.
Achieving these goals requires a team effort, and I am fully committed to leading our fantastic board of dedicated volunteers. However, our strength lies in our membership, and I am making a direct call to action for more volunteers to step forward. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our committees and even take the lead by chairing key positions. Whether your interest lies in shaping public policy or organizing events, your talents are needed to drive our mission forward.
Beyond the vital work we do, volunteering with NABIP New Mexico is a deeply rewarding personal experience. Our active members share an incredible bond filled with fun and laughter. Together, we develop interesting continuing education credits like our upcoming combined Individual, Group and Medicare Summit on August 13 and 14 and engage in impactful legislative lobbying. I invite you to join in this camaraderie, grow your professional network and have a great time doing it.
